Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips if using.
  • Spread the batter thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp around the edges.
  • Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces before serving.
