Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Customize: Add chopped nuts or use dark chocolate chips for a different twist.
  • Freezing: Freeze dough balls for up to 3 months and bake straight from the freezer when needed.
