Instructions
Prepare the Vanilla Beans
Slice the vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Set aside both the seeds and the pods.
Combine the Ingredients
In a saucepan, mix the simple syrup, natural thickener, vanilla seeds, and pods.
Simmer the Mixture
Heat the mixture over medium-low heat for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly. Avoid boiling to prevent burning.
Blend and Strain
