Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the lemon zest and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  • Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
