Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup vegan butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 2 tbsp non-dairy milk such as almond, oat, or soy
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt optional, enhances flavor

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened vegan butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, beating after each addition until incorporated.
  • Add non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and salt (if using). Continue beating until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  • If the frosting is too thick, add more non-dairy milk, one teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  • Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Re-whip before using.
  • Flavor Variations: Add cocoa powder for chocolate frosting or a teaspoon of lemon zest for a citrusy twist.
  • Serving Tip: Let the frosting sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before using if chilled.
