Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups ripe guava peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness of guavas
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped guava, sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the guavas soften and release their juices.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer to remove guava pulp and seeds, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Transfer the strained syrup into a clean glass jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Customization: Add a cinnamon stick or vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Serving Tip: Use as a drizzle for pancakes, cocktails, lemonades, or desserts.
  • Storage: Shake before use as natural separation may occur.
